THE OFFICAL KIND OF ART COMPETITION IS HERE! THIS IS AN AWESOME WAY TO ENGAGE THE KOA COMMUNITY AT LARGE AND WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING ALL THE AMAZING ENTRIES.

THE CHALLENGE
The theme for this year’s KIND OF ART is The Art of Creation. That is why we’re challenging you, the creatives to imagine what The Art of Creation looks like to you!
Create an A3 poster showing The Art of Creation.
However, we are not looking for fanart, but a creative and visual representation of The Art of Creation based on your interpretation and knowledge of the industry. The winning entry will be posted on social media with the appropriate credits and course there will also be awesome prizes.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 13/10-2024
WINNERS ANNOUNCED: At KOA 25-26/10
DELIVERABLE: A valid Entry requires;
Final Image in 300 dpi, measuring 297 x 420mm.
Format in JPEG. XXMB Max
Any sketches to the finished entry which shows your idea and thought processes
RULES
Eligibility
To collect any of the prizes you are required to attend KIND OF ART in Copenhagen on October 25-26th as they will be handed to you at the conference.
You need to purchase a ticket for KOA24 to take part in the competition.
Winners Announcement
All winners will be announced at the event.
Can my entries be based on an existing IP?
No. Your artwork can not contain parts of any IP's rights. Do not use any movies or games as the visual reference for your entry.
Can I use generative AI tools in my entry?
No. The competition is meant to encourage growth for you as an artist and to test your own skills. Pushing yourself can only be done by creating your entry based on your own artwork.
Original Artwork
Entries must be new artworks specifically made for the challenge, and cannot be based on the concept art of another artist, or based on film, TV or game projects.
Competition Judging
The judging team and the KOA team are the judges of the challenge, and their judgement will be final.
JUDGING CRITERIA
Competition entries must include the official KIND OF ART logo.

All entries MUST be submitted to the contact@koa-official.com.
You do need to have a valid ticket for KOA24 to enter the competition.
You are allowed to use any media to achieve your artwork.
Any materials used have to be royalty free or you, as the artist, own the rights to use them.
USE OF AI IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
The essence of KIND OF ARTs competition is to promote learning within the community and to spotlight the accomplishments of artists.
We encourage active participation in the competition, share your ongoing progress on the competition channel on KOAs Discord server, engage in discussions about each other's work, offer feedback when asked, and motivate one another with the shared goal of enhancing skills and knowledge.
We would love to understand your process, the mediums you worked in, and how you reached the final piece. Don’t just show the destination, share the road you travelled TO the Destination.

Can I submit multiple submissions for a challenge category?
No. You can only submit 1 submission. Feel free to work on multiple entries if you like but submit only one (1) for judging.
Can a team participate in the challenge?
No. This challenge is for individuals only.
